I wrote this album originally back in 2005 and recorded a demo of it.
Years later I re recorded the album from scratch but before i could release the album my computer was hacked and I was locked out of my user privileges forcing me to have to reformat the Mac, but in doing so lost the entire album and all the work I did. I was gutted to say the least.

Luckily I still had the original stems from the demo to work with but life got in the way and the album got left on the backup hard drive gathering dust for years.

Then in 2022 I decided to try again to finish this album. I asked a drummer by the name of Alec Rees if he would be interested in doing the drums for the album for which he agreed a price and so we started with the song So She Sleeps. We finished the song and I released it as a single, a rather long single here on bandcamp and cdbaby.

The song sounded fantastic with Alecs drumming on it and it was a dream come true to have a talented drummer come in and play on an album of mine.

Sadly Alec decided he didnt want to record the album at the price we had agreed as there had been some life changes come about for him and thusly pulled out of the project, which left me completely deflated and down about the project again.

So, again the album got put on hold and i was left feeling would i ever get this album out there for people to hear.

Finally this year I decided to go for it on my own as i have always done and went about recording the album.

Given that i could not find a drummer i decided to do them myself. I re did most of the guitars and Bass, added and replaced many bits I was not happy with from the demo.

The only thing that was kept from the demos were 90% of the vocals as given i am now nearly fifty and have suffered a nasty accident which affected my vocal chords since this album was first done, i simply did not have it in me to do a lot of the parts again vocally. I also had some of the guitars and bass lines from the original demo but not all.
So it was fun trying to re learn how to play all the parts again :)

I am happy with how this album has turned out, it has taken so much work to do for me and I am only one man, but I do feel very proud of this album regardless of whether or not any one else hears it in my life time.

This album marks the end of a period of music written from 2003 to 2011 before my near ten year hiatus from music due to health reasons.

I dedicate this album to my dear Father, John whose Birthday it is today on the release of this album, he has loved this album since the original demo back so many years ago. If he is happy with this final version of the album then I have achieved what i set out to do.
