This album is a collection of Progressive Rock songs originally released back in 2010. I had wanted a female vocalist for this project but alas I could not find one willing to sing on the project unfortunately, so again I had to make do laying the vocals down just to make sure the ideas and melodies were there. The vision I had for Planet Epiphany was always to have a fantastic and powerful female vocalist to sing the lead parts with myself doing some backing vocals and taking care of guitar parts.

My Planet Epiphany project has many albums and one day If I can raise the money it would be a dream come true to go into a decent recording studio and first have a real drummer come and play on all the albums and secondly to find a female vocalist willing to sing on the albums also. Being a song writer and luckily having the ability to track lay the guitars, bass, keyboards and drums via programming using Toontrack drums over the years I have managed to record my albums regardless of not having a great backing band with me.

I learnt many years ago whilst working in a studio in Penarth that getting as much real instruments on the music was important to just using samples or programming. Having the human element was vital so in the end this forced me into having to learn to play the Bass, and do vocals myself to get my ideas across. Even though I very much enjoyed doing vocals for this reason it was always a shame for me I could not find the vocalist that I envisioned for the music. Still, I am very proud of the music I have written and I hear a lot of potential in the songs and know that just getting a real drum kit with air behind and a great singer it will enhance the music even more. I hope you enjoy the music on this album, I had a lot of fun recording Dark Sunrise.
