As one world is destroyed, humanity searches the heavens for a new world to habitat. Taking their problems with them humanity repeats the same mistakes over and over. As each new world is found, so a new world is again destroyed.

This is the first release starting a new chapter in my musical journey. This is a mixture of ambient tones and instrumental music aimed more at chill out vibes and mellow music with an emphasis on similar themes and emptiness.

Over the years through out my musical career I have recorded and released many albums. In my progressive rock and metal phase I did a fair few albums in this genre but each were completely different to one another.

I am now moving onto Ambient music also but intend to retain the same mind set when it comes to recording multiple albums in one particular genre. So whilst this debut ambient album today will be a very chill out, slow and dark ambient affair, the next album will be something very different.

My approach also to this new album was completely different to any album I had done before. With progressive rock and metal it was vital that each song was recorded to a click track for perfect timing and locking everything together. But for the first time in twenty two years I have recorded an album not only free of using a click track but also free of quantisation which made the album a lot more work with editing but also greatly depended on my being able to physically play the music in time from my own internal click track as it were.

For this I feel I have been most successful in writing an album that sounds more organic and free and yet retains its natural timing and structure for the tracks and what I envisioned for them.

When recording the parts for this collection of songs I exclusively used Shonky Musical Instruments which were made by a brilliant Guitar Luthier by the name of Antony Moggridge.

This album was very much influenced by my all time favourite composer, the Legend that is Vangelis and such this album is my dedication to the music that has inspired me since I was a small boy. Listening to his great music through out my life one of the collections of his work being that for which he wrote for Blade Runner I consider to be my desert island album for I would be lost without it :)
